Swan & Railway Hotel Wigan

Perfect location, despite being delayed and issue with shower staff were excellent.

Was only there 6 hours lol

Reception poor, cold room. Early departure difficult down fire escape no staff available

Location n friendly staff

No car parking only public pay. Room was definitely not deluxe. Was very small and tired. Mattress n bedding n Pillows need renewing as not great nights sleep for either of us. Definitely didn’t feel was cleaned as when we sanitized a few things the wipe came away black so felt extremely grubby. When leaving to return key there was no staff in the hotel and was difficult to leave the premises.

The hotel is charming, full of character, clean and tidy and really nice staff

Water pressure in the shower wasn’t brilliant and a bit tatty round the edges but nothing to diminish our stay

Nothing really, it appeared like a good drinkers pub though so if I was drinking it would be great, a great atmosphere etc

Check in is in the pub, I arrived at a busy time and was given a hide to go up an external fire escape to enter with my bags which is not great, the code did not work first time either, the room was very standard, the bed and pillows not great, the room was not cleaned while I was there or coffee topped up and the internet was non existent

For the price I would have expected breakfast to be included. Bar closed a little earlier than I had been told it would.

Problems with getting out of the building due to locked doors.
