Location - Clean - Rooms have been renovated recently and looks good - Relatively quiet for a pub

Access to the room during the day. - No customer service - Why it was advertised as 4 stars??? - No real breakfast - Bed not that comfortable

Location, staff very friendly

Just a little comfort improvement note. My room was next to the door going through to the other rooms. The door slams everytime someone goes through it, which you can hear quite loudly. Changing it to a soft close function would massively help.

Lovely bathroom and great shower.

It’s next to the railway tracks and the building shakes when a train passes. Not my kind of mattress for comfort.

The room was well decorated, very clean and comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, great beer choice too. Perfect all round stay.

A proper traditional pub in a great spot. We booked this as a spare of the moment thing, we booked a room overlooking the railway station so my two boys could watch the trains go through the station. When we arrived, Shelly greeted us and made a massive fuss of my two boys. The weather outside was 30oC and the room with a view of the train station was south facing, so Shelly gave us a room on the North side to sleep in (which was stunning) as this was much cooler, but also have us a key to a room overlooking the railway station so the two boys could watch the trains when they wanted. A lovely touch! Everyone working in either the hotel or bar were lovely. A perfect little get away!

Very good location in the heart of Wigan.

Traditional old English pub - lived the experience. The staff were also helpful in terms of sights to see around Wigan.
