Chough's Nest Hotel

My partner and I spent a wonderful two night stay here. Idyllic setting overlooking the bay and beyond. Waking up just before dawn and witness the spectacular sunrise. Unforgettable. The Hotel is family owned and reflects the dedication that often goes hand in hand with the hard work that the Hodges family have and continue to put in over nearly two decades. Hospitality is front and centre of the ethos here. The location and the house itself are important factors in the overall enjoyment to staying at Chough’s Nest. My partner is gluten intolerant and was catered for perfectly. Homemade gluten free toasted bread was really good and even I wanted to eat some. Kate and Helen are running the hotel with John now quietly adding his lifelong hotelier’s experience as and when. Long live this quintessential English hotel.

Very comfortable room with excellent views. Very good breakfast & it was a nice touch to have cake available in the afternoon.

The room was large with a beautiful sea view. Breakfast was outstanding with the added touch of pastries/muffins/scones to bag up and take away with you for later. The hosts were very friendly whilst remaining professional at all times.

Simply outstanding everything single aspect of this establishment is on point to the maximum nothing is to much trouble as the guest are at the forefront of this Lovely family who run it I could write a book about this place and it superlatives never mind a review and it won’t be ENOUGH simply the BEST see you soon

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at Chough’s Nest. Hotel was spotlessly clean. Amazing views from our bedroom and the dining room. Breakfasts were superb, as was our evening meal on the first day. Everyone very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Absolutely incredible views! Very welcoming and accommodating, the whole place is exceptionally clean. The room is comfortable, and the bathroom is absolutely spotless. Having Wi-Fi is a great help as phone signal isn't great in this area, which isn't a bad thing when you want to switch off on your holiday. Breakfast is brilliant, the staff are very polite and nothing is too much. I will be coming back again. I feel this is going to be my new regular place to visit

A most excellent breakfast and a big plus was the free home baked and very delicious cakes which you could take for your day out sightseeing or if going on a hike. Views from our bedroom window were stunning and were great to wake up too. Location great for getting to local town centre and for getting started on a day of walking.

Easy check in from 2.30. Nicely decorated, clean, spacious bedroom with a really comfortable bed and plentiful hot water. Beautiful sea views from both windows in our room. A delicious and generous breakfast served in a lovely dining room which also has sea views. Home baked cake to take away for lunch included with breakfast. A perfect stay.
