Hotel Miriam

Good location just near the central square and the jetties on the lagoon. Nice enough staff, although they aren’t very present a lot of the time, in case you have a question.

The shower in the room had very low water pressure and was cold most of the time, and in general the fittings in the room were pretty dated and could do with being updated. The curtains also let a lot of light into the room and it had a feeling of not being very private. Overall not bad for the price though

I liked the location- one block away from the laguna Bacalar ! I liked how clean rooms are .

People were super friendly. I even forgot my phone in the room and they send it to my next location with the bus. Also nice balcony, very big bathroom and soft beds.

Super friendly staff, good location (lagune is juist one road down, main square and restaurants are very close. Room was cleaned everyday.

There was a bit of smell from the sewer from time to time in the bathroom. There were not really curtains so if you can not sleep with light then this room is not for you. There were some little things like the facet was loose, but honestly it is fine for the price you pay.

Location and the family running it.

Better than expected considering the photos you can see here. Nice terrace with a view of the lagoon. Good value, quiet and good location. There are some basic kitchen facilities and free coffee and hot water in the morning. We would stay here again :)

We asked whether an early check in was available and were told we could be there at 12.00/midday. When we got there at 12.30 our room wasn't ready and we had to wait for another hour which was a little inconvenient as we planned our day around it. Staff doesn't speak much English but was very friendly at all times
