Casa Ak’ab’al Bacalar

Un accueil familial et sympathique dans cet hotel tres classe petit (10 chambres tres spacieuses). La nature et rien d autre. Ils nous pretent paddle, kayak pour la lagune. C est tres beau, reposant, agreable. On a bien profite du lieu.

Pas de restauration apres 17h mais on a trouve a Bacalar. Juste le sujet des 1.5 km de piste pour aller a l hotel, des trous beants remplis d eau. Elle meriterait d etre un peu travaillee.

Small parking

The main home is spacious and has good facilities to cook as well as play games. It also has a private pier with a shed which is nice to hang out and swim.

The power went out for about 7hrs during the night and therefore some of us suffered from the heat. The facilities aren't well kept as the pool was dirty due to rains, the restaurant was closed from 5pm and the location is far from any restaurant. There were no delivery options either. One of the room's ac units was not working and therefore one of the guests did not sleep well. The lounge area was messy and therefore could not be used.

It was a little bit on the small side with no windows apart from the door

Beautiful property in a wonderful location by the lake.

After a nice welcome, there is practically no contact with the staff. The bar and other attractions - supposedly available - but no one serves guests, so you can't use them. No response to phone or whatsapp. A stale smell from the sewage system in rooms.
