Hotel Terme Providence

Great quiet location though only 5 mins from Forio town. Clean hotel, good facilities. Very helpful staff helping with organising scooter rental during our stay and shuttle bus to Forio Port when we checked out. Shuttle bus was complementary so you don't have to worry about expensive taxi.

Wifi signal was very low and sometimes didn't work in our room. Ok if you don't need wifi though we relied on it a bit for research and contacting friends. Bed comfort is probably around a 3/5 compared to some other places we have stayed at of similar value.

I really enjoyed my week-long stay at this Hotel, and I wished it was longer. This is a family-run hotel, who also own a farm, where alot of the food is grown, and they have a fascinating story to tell about how the hotel came to be. It'd not at all an impersonal hotel - As a solo traveller, I was made to feel very welcome right from the start, and was very happy with the room allocated me - which was kept very clean. The food was incredibly good at dinner, and I had a couple of lunches here too . I loved the lemon-infused water available at breakfast. Wonderful to have the thermal pool as well as the ordinary one. On the first morning, I was really tired, but wandering around the gardens before I went to the beach, I discovered the Garden of the 5 Senses, which had some sun-loungers under trees, and I lay and read there very peacefully till my energy returned. I booked the shuttle a few times and that was great. There is a programme of Yoga and Qi Jong sessions and more, which I discovered a bit late in the day, but I went to the nearby Poseidon Thermal Gardens 2 of the days, for the whole day, and that was so incredibly relaxing, it' right on the beach and includes sun-loungers there too. The beach you can reach in 5 minutes is great, except the sea was really choppy on one day, so I returned to the hotel and spent the rest of the day around the pool, quite happily. On Saturday night, we were treated to a really excellent professional pianist and children and young people's ballet. The staff were really great, glad of the chance to practice my Italian with them, got a long way to go - they were unfailingly courteous, accommodating, and helpful during my stay. I would definitely return, and bring my partner.

The hotel and staff were lovely. Everyone tried to help if there was a problem. The breakfast had an enormous choice of homemade cakes cereal toast cheese ham etc.. The cappuccino and expresso were perfect for our tastes. We didn't have lunch or dinner so can't comment on that.

Unfortunately there were a few negative aspects. Firstly the hotel was not within walking distance of a beach so we had to rely on the navette which was at 10:10 every morning. However the return journey was at 16:30 which wasn't suitable for us. There was a town bus service which was unreliable so we usually got a taxi back to the hotel. These are expensive unless you bargin with the drivers. We also had the same problem in the evening when we went to the centre for dinner. However we were a little luckier with the buses in the evening.

We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel (family of 3). Great location - 20 minute walk to Forio (lovely selection of eateries and shops), 15 mins to Citara beach (restaurants etc), 10 mins to a wee cove beach (toilets, restaurants, umbrella/sunbed hire). The hotel sits just back off the road and is on a bus route that will take you anywhere around the island. 10 mins to nearest restaurant for dinner (Jamma Ja - we loved it). In the hotel, the rooms were very, very clean and kept so daily, and an adequate size for us. We were on the bottom floor and our patio doors opened onto a lovely garden area. We stayed bed and breakfast. The breakfast was ideal. Daily staples of bread (italian or wholemeal), fruit, yoghurt, croissant etc and pasticceria (variety - staples plus something different each day). Staff were welcoming and friendly and the service was great. Pools and pool area - also lovely , smashing views and it was always easy to find a sun bed and shade, no matter what time of day we went. All in all, a great base for a quiet, relaxing holiday.

Read a recent review on here and I honestly think she went to a different place! Excellent hotel in a great location. Bit of a walk into Forio (and the taxis at 20 Euros is extremely expensive). But the heat meant we had to on two occasions, but on a cooler night it took 20 mins back. Lots of nice bars and restaurants there, no bad meal in our entire stay. Cittera Beach a 10 minute walk away is lovely with probably 10 bars/ restaurants which were all good. Small beach over the road a 5 min walk away. Good beach bars there as well. Hotel itself is 'traditional'. But spotlessly clean. Staff are very helpful (any talk of them not understanding English is pure fiction!). Buffet breakfast not the best for my tastes, but lots of cake, pie and fruit. All in all a lovely stay and we would highly recommend!

Very well maintained hotel with a nice garden view upgrade. Friendly and helpful staff, good wellness area and excellent food. Overall, a great experience!

Great location, close to Forio (free shuttle bus available from hotel) and Poseidon Thermal pools. Breakfast had a good selection with delicious pastries, lunch pizzas were tasty, dinner was nice and cocktails were amazing. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Michele. There were always plenty of sunbeds and the hotel had a quiet and calm vibe. Pool was nice but quite warm so not very refreshing. There could have also been some complimentary water in our hotel fridge when we arrived. Overall, a picturesque hotel we would recommend for a relaxing getaway.

Thank you John Paul for the best visit. Your hotel is so well kept / your staff is incredibly friendly/ some of the best cocktails ever/ loved the shuttles to the beach and to town. Big shout out to Conchetta for an amazing lymphatic massage! We hope to return one day .

I booked this hotel for a short stay in order to visit the Poseidon terme that ischia is popular for. The hotel is very cute and in a great location in proximity to the terme. It’s not very close to the centre and services are limited but the staff was quite friendly. The check in time is noted for 12 noon but we arrived around 1145 and was not able to get into a room until almost 3 pm. The room was very clean and efficient but very hot as our air conditioner was not working. Staff encouraged us to wait it out that the heat was not so bad and we were advised that they would call a maintenance person to come and look at it. We were able to have a couple of cocktails at the hotel bar and left the hotel for several hours and returned late in the evening And the room was still very hot. After much back-and-forth, we were able to switch to a new room, but the shower in the new room did not have hot water. All in all I would book the hotel again only as a last resort or for convenience, not for service or an upgraded stay of sort.

The location of the hotel is great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is plentiful and offers many choices, but it skews sweet like most Italian breakfast does. The pool is fantastic. The room is large enough, as is the bathroom, and we were upgraded to a sea view which was great.

The bed is VERY firm, to the point of being uncomfortable at times.
