Do your groceries in Chetumal or Bacalar

Very relaxed and beautiful place 10 minute drive from Bacalar. Everyone there was so friendly and helpful which made the stay that much more special. Kayaks and stand up paddle boards can be used for free so they were great to take out. Breakfast was lovely as well! Couldn’t recommend more!

It is a 10 minute or so walk into Xul-Ha which has no restaurants and a few shops to buy food. Therefore if you want to go out and explore probably worth having a car

Breakfast was good, they asked me what I would like to have. Fresh fruits and eggs served every morning. They also had coffee machine which was free to use. Manager was really helpful and took us to a free sailing trip and gave me a ride to a grocery store to buy some beers.

Xul-Ha was a dream place, so much better than we could imagine! The fact that the cabanes are small (not in an uncomfortable way) positively makes you stay out more and enjoy the beauty of the lagoon that is right at your feet. Everything needed for relaxation was at hand: comfortable sofas, tan-beds and hammocks. We woke up every morning to assist to a stunning sunrise and then embarked on paddle explorations on an empty lagoon. It truly felt like a private paradise. The breakfasts were a delight start to each day. If you're seeking tranquility and immersion in Mexican beauty, look no further! We extended our stay, completely mesmerised by the charm of the place. A special thanks to Rene who welcome us with warmth (hello from the frenchies if you see the message Rene!). He's always happy to chat and assist with anything you might need. Pepos is hands down my top recommendation in the entire Yucatan!!

Lovely cabins, great staff, lovely lake settings, delicious breakfast, and they offered a paid service to drive us to the Belize border for a very reasonable price.

There aren't many shops nearby and sometimes the neighbors played loud music, but that didn't really impact our stay.

I loved everyone on staff! They were super nice, and helpful, and really cared about the experiences of everyone staying at Pepos! The location is amazing-right on the water and the paddleboards/kayaks/sailboats are so nice to take out on the water! The huts were adorable and super cozy and make for a really romantic trip <3

Las fotos que publican no son como realmente es, los baños son compartidos y están en malas condiciones, la cocina es de acceso abierto para cocinar por lo que cualquier persona puede utilizar las cosas. Aparte hay gatos en la Cocina. Las cabañas se ven en mal estado y

The place is super quiet, very ideal to rest, the view is very nice and the service is very good.

There is not much in the surrounding area. There are no restaurants and we always opt to go to Bacalar town to do things. However, if you know you are going to a place where you are literally just resting, it is not a problem.
