The decor

No dogs barking all night long in next room , room being available on arrival so we didn’t have to get changed for wedding in car park , no disabled access , wait for breakfast was just under an hour , then toast arrived once finished , for over £750 a night I would expect 5 star treatment , yet had better experience in a premier inn for £59 night

Dated up.to the point of broken/visibly repaired furniture and furnishings

There is a Pub/Restaurant close by

Extremely weak internet in the room

Very peaceful and lovely stuff.

The Staff, breakfast and room were all very good. I am not sure how but this hotel came up in a search for a visit to Edinburgh. It offered a good price and proved to be an excellent choice.

The hot water was intermittent but always warm enough to take a shower, A bath would have been a challenge. Also on occasion hot water would come out of the hand basin cold tap. Whilst not ideal this did not cause a problem as the weather was warm. If the weather was cooler or cold then it may have been more of an issue.

The decor was out of this world.

Room didn’t look as styled as the photos online. The shower flooded and the blind metal cover fell off and hit my husband on the head. We contacted the front desk who came and sorted the shower out and took the blind cover away. I was surprised that there was no mention of compensation for these events occurring. Given how much we paid for the room I was expecting the highest of standards and the room fell short somewhat. The desk lamp shade also fell down and we couldn’t fix it.
