There was sick in the kitchen sink that hadn’t been cleaned out properly there was tobacco in the hot tub the glass door hadn’t been cleaned they where really dirty, I’m not normally one to complain but at £300 a night the least you would expect is a clean room.

"Not a bad place but wouldn’t return after the first problem"

3.0

The property and staff were really nice

We booked one of the pods outside so we could use the hot tub and watch the boxing but the hot tub didn’t work so we spoke to someone and they offered us another free stay and the day before we was meant to arrive we got told the hot tubs wasn’t working as they were all getting cleaned so we never actually got too use what we booked for in the first place we did get a room in the main hall but wasn’t what we wanted so felt like a waste of time

"Warm, cosy and friendly which you don’t often get it a luxury hotel."

10.0

Absolutely everything. It seemed too good to be true when we booked it but it was even better than we expected. Every single member of staff was lovely. So helpful and friendly.

Absolutely nothing.

"Great day but not somewhere to stay over."

6.0

The wedding venue, ie the chapel and restaurant/dance floor is beautiful and the food and staff absolutely superb. The big let down is a lack of accommodation. The garden rooms are a disaster area. Holding too many weddings one day after the next making even the bride and groom change rooms during their stay is ridiculous. My advice to anyone because of this would be to travel to the venue on the day because you don't gain anything staying for 1night. You can't stay longer because of the multiple weddings taking place. This is probably also the reason why everyone only gets to eat at the hall for the wedding itself along with the breakfast the following morning. Any extra days you have to go to the joiners arms for all meals, but I should really say breakfast or evening meal because contrary to the sign outside no food was available at any other time to us other than a bowl of chips. It's a difficult one to rate. As a venue and on the day it is exceptional, food service and staff are all first class. Accommodation is the let down. Their aren't enough rooms available at all, nor over a long enough time period to make this a truly memorable occasion. It's too rushed, you feel like cattle being moved from one pen to the next on your way to slaughter which is a real shame because this place could be so much better.

As mentioned above the staging of multiple weddings day after day is too much. Proper accommodation for guests is a must, the " garden rooms " are disgusting. Small and no means of ventilation which probably explains the mould and damp in all of them. You can't conceal the smell just by trying to overpower it using plug in air fresheners. Having to go to the pub for meals which are only available for limited times is not good. The food wasn't bad when we eventually got it but it is a selection of basic pub food. It's not a restaurant and that is what is sadly lacking here.
