Asperion Hillside Hotel

This boutique hotel was excellent. The garden is a sun trap and beautifully landscaped. The rooms were light and quiet and comfortable. Also the staff were everything you would wish them to be.

The only criticism I could have is the hall between the bar and the dining room were colour drenched a dark blue and it made the area dark. It did look good but oppressive.

My wife and I always try to stay in Asperion Hillside Hotel whenever we pass through Guildford to see family. The welcome is always warm, the hotel is beautiful and the rooms always meet our requirements perfectly. Nothing is ever too much for the team who are always smiling and more than happy to help. Beautiful location, calm, relaxed atmosphere. All of the staff were friendly and attentive. A very enjoyable stay.

Okay. Let me start by saying. The staff are incredible. I want this to be a fair review, and what I say isn’t any reflection on the staff. Brill customer service. The breakfast was delish… but no beans? This is an outrage 🤭

The room however… I bought a “Deluxe” king room. There was plasterboard hanging off the walls, yellow stains all over the ceiling, mould all over the windows (in summer?!) and the fan in the bathroom sounded like a helicopter taking off. A cracked tile in the bathroom in the walkway where it’s raised! So be careful the next person who stays! You could take your skin off with it. I stay in a lot of rooms for work, I was quite excited about this one from the pics they put up, but these must have been years ago. In my opinion, you can’t just give out white company toiletries and call it “deluxe” I tried to have a convo about this on the check out, but the chap didn’t seem interested to find out more.

Gorgeous hotel, selected due to great reviews which were fully justified. We stayed 2 nights. Fabulous large garden with koi pond. Helpful, attentive staff. The room was spacious and spotless, with the added bonus of a fan to help us with the heatwave during our time there.We only ate breakfast as the popular restaurant was booked up, so would advise future guests to book a table when making their reservations.. The full English was piping hot and delicious. There was also a selection of cold items available. We also loved the guest bar system.
