Asperion Hillside Hotel

Helpful staff and delightful garden.

No air conditioning, and the fan needed some tlc (it couldn't be clamped at a sensible angle).;

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.

Tea making facilities were good but could have done with some glasses for water.

Comfy bed, quiet location.

I cannot understand why people think it's ok not to include beans on a full English breakfast, parking is limited, had to park in a layby across the rd, not preferable when carry expensive equipment. Alot of black mold around the bedroom window, I noticed other reviews noted this. Floor tile loose in Bathroom.

Everything about the place was perfect

The bed was lumpy. The duvet was clearly well-used as the filling was gathered in clumps. The windows had mould all around them. The shower head was covered in limescale. The bedsheet had someone else's hair on it when I arrived so I asked for it to be changed. The walls are so thin that you can hear what the people in the next room say. The doors slam really loudly, other hotels have found ways around this, it is possible for a fire door not to slam. The room was incredibly hot. If I opened the window, then the room stank of either cigarette smoke or food. It's not the standard I'd expect of a 4* hotel and I feel misled but all the positive reviews I read beforehand. I'd been looking forward to it and left exhausted.
