Great location for the races, walking distance. Good car park. Nice old place.

The bathroom was a bit tired but functional. Bar was closed on Sundays. Breakfast was disappointing, no hot food.

Room was clean and a good size, food in restaurant was exceptional. Close to the racecourse and in the town centre so a great location.

Room was very hot overnight and bed a little uncomfortable.

The hotel was perfectly situated a 3 minute stroll from many bars and restaurants. The hotel itself was clean and ALL staff superb with a covered drinking area outside . The restaurant looked nice we only had breakfast ( continental) but a good choice of cereals and offerings of cheese and ham along with toast/ jam / pastries. Very nicely presented

On booking many months in advance we was promised a family room on arrival to room ( number3 ) it was infact a double … after a long tiring day at the JCB Golf tournament we decided to make do , however it was a little disappointing our request wasn’t adhered too . Never spoilt our stay so all was good

Staff were brilliant, helpful and friendly. Couldn't have done more for me.

Its a very old building, some 500 years old in fact. A lot of history attached to the place. The room was uneven though and needed modernisation, but overall it was ideal for what I needed.
