Shigakogen Prince Hotel

Location excellent, free family play area which we really enjoyed and ease to get to via bus from Nanago. Good to have several eating options. Great view from room window.

Rooms were tight for a family if 4, but to be expected for Japan. Was hard to find correct info, we aren't skiiers and we definitely paid to much for a gondola ride. Mostly this was on us for not being organised, we wanted to do ebike then worked out that was at a different hotel that we could only access via walking? Was very confusing.

Great location.

No communal area to hang out with friends after hours unless you go to the small bar inside the hotel.

The ease for rentals and getting in and off the slopes was great! The little bar in the lobby gave another option for snacks and light dinner.

The whole hotel is shabby. It’s obvious that it hasn’t been renovated in a long time.

Ski in and ski out. Convenient and the ski equipments are very good.

We stay in the 4 beds room…. It was so small. The beds were so bad, it’s like sofa bed type of bed, very small, stiff and uncomfortable. The amenities inside the room are also very old too. It’s best to include 2 meal board as the choices of restaurant are very very limited.

Minimal to no public area to gather, bar open limited hours with very few seats. Food was just quantity buffet, quality was quite average. Bed extremely uncomfortable

Location is fantastic and the staff are great

Mainly the food, for two reasons: - firstly, despite paying for three nights bed and breakfast, I was told I only got two breakfasts. I’ve never been to a hotel that does not include breakfast for all three nights and this was hugely disappointing and put a bad taste in my mouth. - I went to the dinner buffet around 7:30pm one night and all the food I got was cold. For the price I paid, I was wholly let down by this.

Location is great. Ski-in and ski-out is great.

The staff at reception spoke little English. The general information was poor. For three nights in a row one of the main meals was not available. The buffet is of poor quality and very expensive.
