Okushiga Kogen Hotel

Okushiga We went to Okushiga Kogen at the beginning of April 26. The spring snow was still on the slopes. We did have a 17 degrees center grade day. Which was different. Okushiga Kogen Hotel is situated in an unbelievable spot at the bottom of a quite fun slope. So ski in. The Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Great onsen. Great food and people

The location is a bit remote, lack of other shops or restaurants

This was my third visit to this hotel, so I know it very well. The location is perfect for skiers or snowboarders, very close to the lifts, just e very short walk away. The room was large enough and cozy. The bed very comfortable. The Onsen is beautiful and very clean. The two restaurant ( Japanese and French) are good enough, breakfast is good and copious. I will go back if I will find place, but it is not easy because is almost always fully booked especially in the peak ski season. Continue like this and your hotel will have a bright future!

This year the snow was scarse all around Japan. Actally I found a little more snow in Okushiga that in other places where I have been this year

Breakfasts and dinners included, so no hassle and no worries. Onsen after skiing, then a bit of rest and winding down in the bar/coffee lounge, and then a relaxing dinner (with some wine) everyday, making a perfect holiday. There are also piano concerts near the fireplace at night and also fireworks at NYE.

It is more expensive than other hotels in nearby resorts and the dinner menu is quite set and a little repetitive. There is no other cheaper eating out option around.

Good location, excellent food, easy to go from bed to slope. I like quiet, so location not an issue for me.

A little dated, but everything worked.

Ski in ski out, close to bus shuttle stop, good restaurants

The WI Fi does not reach the bed area well .... It gets strong near the door ....

Location was excellent, right next to ski lifts. The hotel had a public bath, restaurants, and it's own ski rental shop. The rooms were spacious and well maintained, and staffs were lovely.
