Excellent access to the lifts, great rooms,staff was helpful regarding vegan meals for my wife

The most unfriendly, jaded bartender in all of Japan wrecked any chance of atmosphere in the lounge area, as did the fireplace that was cold and empty 90% of the time. Very disappointing. Didn’t go to Shiga to sit in a bar, but when we did go there it was really surprising to see how rude this guy was, not only to myself and my wife, but many of the guests that were unlucky enough to be there when he was working. Wouldn’t expect that in Japan.

It’s a ski in ski out hotel with professional and helpful staffs. The location is remote hence is quiet. Service provided was great. There’s also live piano every evening.

Dated facilities, untrained staff, and expensive food, with no other options available. We felt like we were a commodity rather than a customer.

Located away from busier areas of the Shiga Kogen ski zone with everything you need….if you pay half board as well…right there. The variety of foods/restaurants is great even though a little more expensive. The staff were wonderful, and nothing was a problem for them. And having an I. House Onsen was sensational….first thing in the morning and later after snowboarding/skiing!!

Limited options to grab a few things/treats/provisions…but more than adequate.
