The aesthetic is amazing. Really feel like you’re in old rural Mexico. Gorgeous room and so many details around the property

Room, location to butterflies

They need to have a white board with their offerings at each meal(they had three main choices but other stuff some they told y;ou about others they did not but never a price for anything they did not tell you that you culd not pay with a credit card, but finally after we planned to go 1/3 hour each war on the day we were leaving to get to an ATM they told us how to do it Also coffee very weak and not offered in morning intel 8 am . some of us get up at 6

Fantastic location very near Rosario Butterfly Sanctuary. Welcoming staff. Good value and delicious meal for dinner + good margaritas. We enjoyed strolling the grounds with the animals (chickens and sheep and calves). Several activities available for kids and families.

Terrible internet (only available in the restaurant area, but it was pretty bad there). Our room was chilly (there is no heat or A/C), but to be fair, we could have built a fire in the fireplace in our room. There are thick blankets on the bed. Nice place, but quite overpriced for rural Mexico.

Very homey, comfortable place, kind hosts, traditional style. An oasis inside their front gates, much natural beauty.

Beautiful property! The photos don't do it justice. Our room was spacious and clean. The menu in the restaurant is verbal and limited, but the food was decent and the staff are gracious. It does get c-c-cold at night and although the beds are stacked high with wool blankets I still felt a bit chilly. Bring warm jammies! Each room has a fireplace and you can also buy a stack of wood and have one of the staff members build and light the fire for you. A cozy experience but our room got super smoky!

How cold it was, but can't really blame that on the hotel!

Beautiful property. The rooms were spacious and clean. It was chilly at night, but there was an option for a fire. We did not have one because of the extremely generous warm bedding! The staff were lovely and the grounds were nice to take a walk around while we waited for coffee to be ready in the morning.

The shower wasn’t very inviting and the restaurant should have a vegetarian option for dinner.

Beautiful property. The grounds are lush and well kept. There is a lot to explore and entertain yourself with throughout the hotel and all around it within the walls. Located near the butterfly sanctuary. The hotel can give you a ride (albeit expensive by Mexican standards) to the El Rosario sanctuary, or you can catch a combi (bus) nearby. The meals we had there were delicious. The staff were all wonderful and very accommodating; they answered the many questions we had even with our limited Spanish. They went out off their way to accommodate us wherever they could. We felt safe and secure in the gated property. The area didn't feel unsafe in any way, but it was an additional touch that was nice. The fireplace in the room was such a romantic element and key for keeping us warm. Our terrace was awesome for us to look up at the night sky and admire a view of the stars that we rarely if ever get in or near a big city.

Wifi and cellular network access was slow and spotty. We were there for one night so it was fine but I can imagine that would grow tiresome over several days. Room was cold. It was nice to snuggle under the covers and having the fireplace helped, but the room would get pretty smokey in the middle of the night.

A lovely place. My wife has food allergies. The chef took that into account and made delicious meals for us.

Good size rooms, tasty food & close to butterfly sanctuary.

The wifi is basically non existent, fair enough considering location but worth noting.
