Rancho Cumbre Monarca

The property was gorgeous and fun place for my toddler to play. I appreciated the options for dinner and breakfast and thought the staff was very accommodating and welcoming. Truthfully, I wish we had stayed a little longer.

A marvelous mini-resort in the country. Beautiful grounds and decor throughout, especially the rooms. Comfy beds with heavy blankets for those cool mountain nights make getting out of bed a test of your determination. The restaurant is very good, and while prices are on the touristy side I guarantee you won’t complain. The staff is always friendly and attentive. All very secure behind a high gated wall. Step outside that gate and you get marvelous scenery all around, and even the stray dogs are friendly. You could walk to the Rosario butterfly refuge entrance, but it’s 45 minutes uphill and then another hour uphill to the butterflies themselves, so I recommend against that.

The people working there, the room, the food , good prices.

The fact that the room doesn’t have heating, only wood fire but we had to pay for the wood, I don’t like the smell of the wood burning. Otherwise I would have to give this place a 10

Located near El Rosario.

No one speaks a word english. Rooms and bathrooms need definitely improvement. Food options are very limited. Way too expensive for the service provided
