Lovely b&b very quiet and relaxing

Location, lovely breakfast, very polite staff. Nice place but don.t expect luxury or new facilities/furniture. Comfortable bed and pillow had a very good sleep. Good size tv (you can put u.r netflix acc on it as well). Amazing view of the lake!

I hated that shower head. I was expecting more from the bar, a bigger variety of drinks and to not close at 7 PM. I was planning with my wife to have a few drinks there at night before going to bed.

There's so much to like. Tea on the terrace and the walk up to the tarn were probably the best parts but it's in a lovely spot with lots to do. They don't do evening meals anymore but with a pub a few doors away, plenty of choice in Hawkshead or further afield and the superb Cuckoo Brow Inn a mile or so walk away along the National Trust Beatrix Potter path it doesn't really matter and you still get to enjoy the views from the restaurant over breakfast.

Right next to Beatrix Potters home and beautifully quiet. Spacious and lovely old room that was clean. The afternoon tea was just superb. I would happily stay again

I can't fault the place. A great base to explore the lake district

Very homely. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming.

Location was excellent, about 100 m from hill top. Good breakfast. Friendly, hardworking staff.

Paint work little scuffed and some random decor. Bar closed at 7pm

Bathroom a bit small and not spotless . Restaurant not open anymore.

Breakfast excellent. Delightful dining room. Bedrooms comfortable and warm.

Lovely building with good rooms. Nice location.

Only minor point was that the tea/coffee wasn’t refilled for the second day. Probably an accident & if I had needed more I would have asked.
