Shanasheel Palace Hotel

This was my second stay at the Shanasheel Palace this year - once again, I was extremely well looked after, and had a wonderful stay. I was upgraded into an enormous room, and got a lovely plate of fresh fruit on arrival. Once again, it was excellent value for money, and the staff represent the very best of Iraqi hospitality.

5 star to the reception staff Sara and Noor. Very helpful and supportive.

The bathroom has some weird smell

Likev an oasis in a desert. Beautiful decorations internally. Wonderful staff trying a lot to help me. Even waived my dinner cost! Big room and nice food. I booked 3 days there.

Power-cut seems to be part of way-of-life in Iraq and it's not the hotel's fault at all. Iraq has a lot to offer to the world in history heritage and religious heritage. Hope tourism can help Iraq develop quicker.

The service, especially during breakfast was outstanding.

I expected a 4 start hotel just as the description said. The room was rather run down. The reception did offer to change rooms, so maybe other rooms are better but it wasn't convenient to move mid stay. The room, though, was very big which was very nice. But the hotel does need upgrade and renovations, especially the room I stayed in.

Not a bad stay.. Quality over price isn't too fair.. Location ia bad isolated a lil.. Clean.. Tidy.. Service is good..

Vague in services fair.. Some stuff it seems like a courtesy and it turn out u being charged without knowing..
