Otterburn Castle

Classic Victorian style building, though having origins reaching back to medieval times, complete with wooden paneling in communal areas. Very friendly staff making us feel welcome from first arrival.

Shower was a bit iffy. Sometimes hot. Sometimes cold. Sometimes no water at all.

Breakfast was amazing .. quality ingredients.. plenty of it .. just perfect . The location was superb as we were at a wedding over the road .. The owner from chesterfield.. so friendly and welcoming .. excellent first impressions

Nothing really .. it’s an old building so the character is exactly what we loved .. maybe a full standing ironing board but that’s me having to think really hard ..

We received a lovely warm welcome on our arrival. The castle grounds are beautiful and well kept. Our bedroom was very clean, well equipped and the decor was lovely. We ate in the restaurant and the food was amazing. In the morning we went down for breakfast and there was a wide variety of food and drink. Cooked breakfast was very nice. We would highly recommend staying here and we will also be looking at returning 😀

the hostess and her son were great hostess and host. dinner was excellent and very nicely presented. Breakfast was equally as tasty, and coked to order. This hotel is not expensive, and it is obvious that both landlady and her son want to ensure that one has a good time. The grounds are beautiful and ideal for a leisurely walk. We will definately begoing back.
