Very friendly and helpful hosts. They do what they can to make the stay as comfortable as it can be. The few was amazing. They arranged a safari for us in the bundala national park with a really nice guide and jeep driver as well was funny and friendly. The breakfast was also really good. We can highly recommend to stay in this cottage.

Our stay at this accommodation, while embodying a genuine Sri Lankan experience, had its ups and downs. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. The location is ideal for a safari in Bundala National Park, offering a breathtaking view over the lagoon. However, the accommodation itself was quite basic, lacking covers or blankets and warm water. The rooms had a stuffy, moldy smell, particularly noticeable in the bathroom. The overall ambiance was dark, with poor lighting. Despite these drawbacks, the warmth of the staff and the stunning view somewhat compensated for the basic amenities.

It wasn't the room that we booked. Washroom hand shower was broken. Flushing system was not working properly. Overall water pressure was too low even unable to take a shower. Cockroaches are on the beds and table. Bed was not much comfortable

Terrific location for bird watching. 5 minute drive to Bundala National Park. Nice breakfast & dinner with coffee & tea. New restaurant currently being built overlooking the lagoons should be great.

No hot water for showering- but not a big problem as water comes lukewarm.

We loved the friendly staff and the amazing food served for us, they were incredibly hospitable and wanted to make us as comfortable as possible.

Reading reviews we thought we could see lots of birds and wildlife from the room but this is not for the tripple room, only rooms in the lodge building (just something to keep in mind when choosing a room). Soap could have been provided too.

Excellent location for birdwatching, wetlands full of birds right next to the garden and amazing view on the wetlands. Near to Bundala NP. Lovely staff, the ladies were super friendly with excellent organisation skills. Food was good.

The restarant was under construction but that was fine.

this is a wonderful place for birding in bundala, you can spot around 40 species or more from the balcony, the owner is very helpful, always good contact via WhatsApp.

The host was lovely and helpful. The view from our room was amazing. I enjoyed the food very much, both dinner and breakfast. The location was perfect, being so close to the bird park and enabling an early start for our safari, which was arranged by the hotel. The safari was also wonderful.

The room was quite rustic and the stairs very steep.
