Panoramic Royal Villa

We liked that it was right next to a lake and we could watch the local fishermen pull in the nets. The property is very clean and the family who own it very kind and helpful. They picked us up from the train station in a jeep (for 4000 LKR) and we used that same jeep for safari the next day (12000 LKR). On safari we saw many, many elephants. The property was about a 10 minute, pleasant walk from town. Each morning we were served with a filling, delicious breakfast. We also ate dinner here and were very happy with it. Sanju dropped us off at our next destination (Polo) in the jeep. We were going to stay for 2 nights but ended up staying for 3. We would definitely recommend this place to others.

Our hosts were extremely nice and supportive, breakfast was great, and the view from the entrance of the room - right on Sigiriya’s rock - was stunning!

Amazing garden with view on the lion’s rock, quiet environment, big and clean room with AC. Really good quality for the price! Don’t doubt it!

The family that owns the guest house is very kind and helpful when you want to organize some activities. The food is very good and the rooms very clean with a nice view on the lion rock. I recommended at 100% this establishment :) Thanks Again Thomas

Excellent value for money. The accommodation is in a privileged setting with good views of Lion Rock. Also the family who run the lodge were very friendly and helpful in organising excursions.

Gorgeous place to stay, amazing breakfast, clean and lovely host. We only had one night here but could have stayed longer.

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was perfect. We had a warm welcome from the family. The room was nice and spacious. Malidu (the host now) was really thinking along with us, about what we wanted to do and see and brought us everywhere we wanted to go. He even invited us to a New Year party with his friends and family (when we stayed here it was Singhalese New Year). We got super nice breakfast every morning with typical Sri Lankan food and fresh water.

The one and only thing was that there was no refrigerator for our drinks to stay cold. But that’s it :)
