La Catrina de Alcala

The location was perfect. Right on the walking street, 3 blocks from the plaza.

I had breakfast once. IT wasn't very good so I didn't eat there again. WE had to ask them to bring water to the room every day. seemed to be some reason that they didn't just leave a full pitcher in the room.

The location was very good, close to the main square and Santa Domingo Church. Pedestrian street so no cars pass. The room was a good size and clean. Had a wardrobe, warm powerful shower full with toiletries. The staff were friendly and provided breakfast to go for our early trips.

The breakfast. You get to choose from tea or coffee, pastry, fruit platter or orange juice, then scrambled eggs or a Mexican dish. The coffee they offer you refills but the tea they just give you one and if you ask for more then use the same tea bag and refill with hot water. I didn’t want Mexican for breakfast so choice was limited. Scrambled eggs come with tortilla…not toast. They should offer English breakfast. Can be noisy despite being on a pedestrian street, the music from the street can be heard but our room was a little tucked in from the Main Street so only disturbed me a few times. No fridge in the room and it being hot this would have been essential. The safe was small and couldn’t store our valuables actually.

Nicely located - close to the Zocolo. Staff very friendly and rooms clean and comfortable.

There was nothing I didn’t like about this property

You weren’t leaving breakfast hungry! Fresh fruit, fresh cakes and pastries, eggs, etc coffee tea. Our room was clean and there was no street noise so we had a restful sleep. The location was excellent, close to restaurants and shops. They had the road running in front of the hotel closed off so it became a mall. All in all a very pleasant stay.

The hotel is in a great location. It is lovely with lots of art and high ceilings. The room was huge! The beds were very comfortable. The price included breakfast which was nice. The room was very dark which was nice and pretty quiet. AC worked well.

The room itself wasn't very clean. Mould in the bathroom, various bugs, trash under the edge of the bed.
