The room was okay

The fact that I paid almost $250 , just for the spa not to work . The refrigerator didn’t work , even after we pulled it up .

It was convenient to where I needed to be. And the young woman who checked me in was super nice.

The room although appeared clean, had a very off odor... the shower floor was showed obvious signs of age with the finish wearing off and the dispensers for the soap products looked as if they'd not been replaced in many years. The place was convenient but is in need of freshening. It looks very dated and feels that way. Given the price point I expected a facility in better overall condition and presentation. Also although it states breakfast is included.. that really wasn't more than some muffins in zip lock bags, make your own coffee and make your own oatmeal. Had I not already paid for the night and other options so limited, I'd have stayed 20 miles from where I needed to be, in order to have had better accommodations.

The hallway had a stale smell. My room 217 was even worse, stale smelling even with the a/c on full. Nothing cleared out after an hour. I left at 7:30pm.

Close to the track, and the hostess was very friendly and understanding, did not blame her or hold her accountable for this.

I found a bed bug within 10 minutes of being there, got a picture captured, and went downstairs to show manager and inform them we would NOT be staying there. Asked for our refund very politely, to which they told us we would have to go through booking.com to get our money back... Very gross and traumatizing, it came from behind the picture frame on the wall right behind my man's head, and I freaked out, telling him to sit up and move away from the wall. New fear unlocked... what a scare. I want to bring back memories from this trip, not bed bugs... We found a different lodging down the street. Didn't even stay there for 20 mins total got our stuff out immediately. The owner was rude to my man on the phone and just told him to call booking.com.
