SW Hotel

Good location on the edge of Chinatown/Little Italy. Comfortable room, good beds, clean baths, nice shower. Front desk had friendly, knowledgeable people that help you with any questions. Jen+Wes were great hosts.

Charge for parking, bogus room taxes. The hotel has a huge room, (for coffee and lounging) that they don't use. Covid ruined this, no free coffee or tea! Covid was 5 years ago, however. No pool.also.

Very clean and well run family type hotel with friendly staff and no hidden charges like are out of control with the big hotels

Wifi was slow. , furniture and decor dated but not worn out

Location is right next to Chinatown and Little Italy . You can walk around to union square and the pier . Very clean rooms , felt safe as a solo traveller . Oscar from guest relations is super nice .

I liked being right next to Chinatown and very near Little Italy and was able to visit a few nearby authentic Chinese and Italian shops and restaurants. It was also close to the meeting point of one of the food tours of Little Italy and North Beach, which meets on a street corner. The hotel itself had a good Chinese decor and Chinese staff. This hotel has air-conditioning (some good, old San Francisco hotels don't), and it had its own parking garage. There was a wonderful Little Italy delicatessen (visited by the food tour also) nearby and several nearby banks, next door and up the hill. The two biggest banks have guards at their ATMs. The hotel is at the crossroads of 3 major streets, but it's not particularly noisy. The area was relatively safe when I was there in May. I think this hotel has a lot going for it and could do with more publicity.

The door to the hotel has to be buzzed open, but this isn't a big problem as the front desk has a view of the front door. I personally, think the hotel should get a better-looking sign although the old one isn't bad.

Have stayed here before and came back for the second time this time round. This is a great place to stay very affordable awesome location, and good facilities.

Room was clean and well-supplied. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nothing at all to complain about.

I was sorry that the hotel no longer serves breakfast.
