Jannat House

This house is so beautiful! You have many terraces to relax, the pool always clean and available. The rooms are essentials but clean. It is right in Lamu old town, and it is an oasis of peace. The breakfast here is amazing (with fruits and eggs) and they change it every day. The owner also gave us good recommendations for fish restaurants.

La struttura è molto bella, in stile swahili, situata in centro Lamu. Personale molto disponibile e accogliente, ottima colazione, possibilità di ordinare la cena (ottima) direttamente in camera e di prenotare escursioni con una guida di fiducia. Il nostro appartamento era molto spazioso, con tre camere e una terrazza con una bellissima vista.

Non c’è acqua calda, non è stato un grosso problema per noi ma bisognerebbe avvisare prima. Di notte si sentono molto forti le voci provenienti dalle moschee.

Il personale, la colazione, le camere ai piani alti

La prima notte è stata la peggiore in hotel nella mia vita. La camera a piano terra terribile, sporca, puzzolente, rumorosa, con letto in muratura scomodissimo e bagno esterno, senza nulla per posare vestiti e bagagli. Assegnatami, in quanto non era disponibile quella che avevo prenotato. Dopo le mie lamentele, il giorno seguente mi hanno spostato in una camera migliore ai piani alti, come da prenotazione.

Pas d eau chaude

Camera spaziosa con tetto in makuti. Il bagno piccolo e da rivedere. Acqua calda inesistente con poca pressione. In compenso tante terrazze con comode poltrone e letti dove rilassarsi con un bel panorama sulla città. È comunque un palazzo arabo e quindi ha il suo fascino. Colazione buona e servita sia nella stanza adibita che dove il cliente desidera. Piscina dove il sole arriva veramente poco.

L'hotel si trova in pieno centro di Amu in Lamu e quindi il rumore esterno è tanto. Non solo gli animali ma anche le.munerose moschee. Poche indicazioni per raggiungere l'hotel ma basta chiedere e le persone ti porteranno sicuramente.

Loved the pool, the staff, the vibe, the food & the beds

Festus, one of the staff members, was the best part of my stay here! He was super helpful with lots of suggestions of things to do and fair prices to expect for them, very welcoming and made me feel at home. The pool is refreshing during the super hot days as well. Very quiet place considering the fact that you're in Old Town which can be hectic at times.

The whole place could do with a fresh lick of paint. Of course, it didn't spoil my stay at all, but it could have been even more beautifully pleasing.
