Jannat House

They had generous serving for all meals, fresh vegetables and fruits. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Organised for some tours through proxies. Pick-up and drop-off arranged by the manager.

The pool was too exposed and tiny and did not meet our expectations. The room service requires some improvement. Was not offered regularly, had to request for clean towels and tissue papers each time. The beds were very uncomfortable, mattress and pillows too hard/worn out. Bed linen and towels were worn out and discoloured. They offered tiny pieces of bar soaps in each bathroom which did not lather, and supply of toilet paper was irregular. We had to purchase our own supply of shower gels instead. Ooh, one of the boys had a bat visiting his room overnight. He wrestled and covered the mammal in a towel overnight. Those wide windows require some mesh! And the hungry cats were everywhere too during mealtimes.

One of the most interesting buildings I've ever stayed in - with a maze of narrow stairways leading to secluded terraces . A delight in it's own right but the pool was a lovely addition. The staff too were charming.

It was an exceptional experience being the first time in Lamu. It's very unadulterated and I trust this stays that way. When Carol told me someone would meet us I was very happy 😊 the shocker that turned into this amazing experience was realizing that our vehicle to the hotel would be a boat 🛥️. When I realized that was the way life was there and no exclusivity in terms of the hotel being set apart my partner and I absolutely loved it. We loved walking up and down the stairs to and from our room, great exercise 😂. The staff were awesome Carol, Festus and team were extremely helpful and awesome. It was more family than staff and client relationship. When you book and go there ask for Mzee Ziwa his tours of the town and even having to convince me to go for an over an hour boat ride to some village was a great addition to the Jannat experience Looking forward to another stay in the near future.

The residence was quite okay and matches the photos provided. The staff were very friendly and helpful including activities to do around Lamu. Although small, the pool was a nice addition for the hot afternoons inside the premises.

The customer service is excellent... professional and in line with Lamu's life rhythm. Staff are extremely kind, helpful and always willing to go an extra mile. Loved that there were multiple balconies, sitting areas all around. Perfect for book readers and early birds who want to catch the sunrise.

I don't like that the place made me want to stay there forever.

I adored the architecture of Jannat and that It refuses exploit its five-star potential. The pool is lovely late at night.

The beds are a bit hard.
