Friendly staff,if you are not vegan the food is good

We were disappointed with our stay. Despite paying for three guests, the room lacked basic supplies (water, coffee, towels) for the third person, and no hair dryer was available. The hot springs—the main reason for our visit—were small and the water temperature was lukewarm. ​Furthermore, the vegan dining options are nearly non-existent (only one average dish available). While the meat dishes were reportedly great, health-conscious or plant-based travelers should look elsewhere. Underwhelming for the cost

A bit far from La Fortuna

Family friendly, super attentive staff. Made us feel like we were a part of their family. Helped set up an onsite tour "farm to table" for lunch where our kiddo helped gather eggs, sugar cane, plantains and salad greens for our delicious local meal of patacones. Very personal experience tailored to our family. Also did the "night tour" around the property and found frogs, snakes, and a 3-toed sloth! Once again tailored to our family and made it seem like an uncle was taking our kiddo out and about. On our own we explored the hiking trail, which had some cool looking pools in the stream that we did not take advantage of only because we didn't bring our bathing suits, but looked like a very unique pool in the middle of the jungle. On our hike even without a guide we saw a lot of birds, and even a 2-toed sloth. Nature is all around you at this location and right at your finger tips! We ended our day with a hot soak in the thermal spring, and it was a perfect day in jungle paradise. To wrap around the day, the breakfast and dinner were amazing. Fresh fruit and eggs my son gathered for breakfast, and dinner was delicious steaks and fresh vegetables. The restaurant is beautiful, and overlooks some gardens and tree line with lots of birds to look at while enjoying the start and end of the day.

This was a pit-stop on our journey, so I only booked 2 nights (1 day of exploring) and wanted the "tree house" experience and now I wish we could have spent more time here. This was a beautiful place that needs more than just 1 day to fully experience and enjoy.

We loved the location, which was approximately 20-25 minutes away from La Fortuna. The Mango Treehouse was the highlight of our trip. This property has a lot to offer. Surrounded by rainforest, you can enjoy exotic birds, bugs, iguanas, livestock, hot springs, and an organic farm. We stayed almost 1-week also had the chance to see a sloth on our last day. Our kids had a great time, and my mom recommends to try message. Must take insect repellent, Lemon eucalyptus essential oil, and/or those mosquito repellent bracelets.
