Mambo Paradise

The beach location is great and compared to Nungwi far more relaxing.

Food appeared to be rationed to children proportions. No coffee making facilities in the rooms Water in the bathroom didn't appear to come from a clean source being highly salty! Toilet blocked two times during a two day stay . Service was slow and again seemed to focus on the additional paid elements rather than satisfying the client.

What an amazing time! Beautiful, clean, and peaceful in a location removed from the more tourist heavy areas of the island. Kasia and the staff were so lovely and were able to help arrange activities and day trips. Already dreaming of returning one day!

Nothing was too much trouble. The owners and staff would respond to any request immediately- we felt like we had found our little piece of paradise. The location was fantastic - loved watching the fisherman come in with their catch and the locals living their lives. Breakfast was amazing. The chef prepared whatever you wanted off the comprehensive menu. The poached eggs and pancakes were our favourite.

The hotel is located on a beach directly next to a small fishing village with around 100 fishing boats going out each morning and returning each afternoon to auction their catch on the beach. The beach in the north of the island is where thousands of tourists enjoy the luxury resorts. Mambo Paradise is a 7 room hotel to slow down the pace of life.

The shower water is from a local water source which is a bit brackish but felt nice exfoliating my skin

- The location by the beach was a bit tricky to get to but provided an excellent start to our stay. - Friendly European hosts managing the accommodation.

- The AC would not cool in one of the rooms and there was no working fan provided either. At this price point, the customer would expect a suitable solution. - Despite various attempts to cool the room, it was simply unbearable for the children to sleep.

Staff as well as manager seem very nice.

This was my 6th time in Zanzibar for the last 2 years. We were supposed to stay in Mambo Paradise for 7 days, 10 to 17 February 2024, however, after seeing the hotel we decided to go elsewhere despite losing the amount already debited by the property (700 USD). Safety and health come first! In our opinion the information provided on booking.com, including pictures, is not accurate and when making the booking we were left with a different impression on the quality of the facility. Once on site, it turned out it doesn't match what was advertised.

The lagoon was shallow with sea urchins, shoes are available at the hotel Be prepared for a roller coaster ride for the final kilometer to the hotel

Beautiful rooms in a perfect location. Very nice people, spotless clean, delicious food. The place to explore Zanzibar and relax totally.
