Mind Body and Soul

All food was freshly prepared and plentiful. The staff were very kind and attentive. The property is in a quiet location, with spacious grounds.

It was a little further from Dambulla than we expected, and we had a few power cuts. These were planned outages by the electricity provider and out of the properties control

We had a very great stay at Mind Body and Soul, and we'll definitely come back next time in Dambulla. Bawntha and Suca service exceeded our expectations. The place is fantastic, the room was huge and very private. Also, the private pool is very luxurious. Last but not least, the food was amazing!

Breakfast was the most stingy breakfast I've ever had. It had limited options and was having cheaper ingredients. . They should improve in providing better value for money

Peaceful, quiet, we saw all sorts of animals... Peacocks, monkeys, many birds. The staff was lovely, so sweet to our kids, food yummy. Room fit our family of four fine, nicely decorated with fun outdoor bathroom! The owner arranged a tour for us to Eco Park which was amazing. Lots of interesting sites nearby. Would definitely visit again.

The description on booking.com is misleading. It says there is a swimming pool but actually only one of the rooms has a private swimming pool. I chose the accommodation because of the swimming pool so it was disappointing. There were plenty of ants in the room, also some in the bed. The floor was sticky which attracted ants, should be cleaned better.

We loved our stay at Mind, Body and Soul. The room was beautiful, private and so peaceful. We love nature and being able to sit on the terrace to listen and watch the wildlife was wonderful. This is not for you if you are afraid of bugs, frogs etc, as they will be in your open air areas (bathroom and terrace) but it is a paradise if you love wildlife and nature. The owner helped us with organising transfers prior to our stay which was very useful, and he gave recommendations on activities. The staff on site, particularly Bawantha, are kind, hospitable and helpful. Bawantha is an excellent cook and the Sri Lankan breakfasts were absolutely delicious! We would absolutely recommend this place if you are looking for some peace and quiet in nature.

Not a problem for us but bear in mind this accommodation is a little way from the centre of Dambulla. But you can easily pick up tuk tuks in town or use services like 'PickMe'. For us it was a bonus to be in such a peaceful location.

My recent stay at this hotel was a complete disappointment. First, there was no internet connection in the room, which made it incredibly difficult to get any work done or even relax with basic entertainment. There were frogs in the sink and toilet throughout the night. On top of that, the hotel overall didn’t feel secure, leaving me constantly worried about my safety during the stay.
