The condition of the room was way below any health and safety standards. The carpet was full of stains and threadbare in places. The bedding had blood and faecal stains. The hospitality tray and kettle were in need of a clean or replacement. The bathroom was way below any health hazard issues. The bath was visibly stained and damaged in need of refurbishing or replacing. I would appreciate the opportunity to receive a response regarding this matter, including an explanation of how such a room was deemed suitable for guest accommodation, what steps will be taken to address the concerns raised. And whether any form of compensation will be considered, given the poor standard of accommodation provided. I have used booking.com over the years, and have never had any problems before.

Central location, a couple of hundred yards from a multi-story car park (which I've used overnight often). Nice sized room, good sized bathroom. PROPER storage for clothes/hanging, good space for work kit/laptop. Comfy double bed, & a window that opened fully ... great!

Sockets next to the bed, not keen on the security deposit scheme (but I understand that some guests aren't as fastidious or respectful as me).
