Incredible value for money. It feels like one of the fanciest hotels I’ve ever stayed in! The room was lovely. Big shower room. Super comfy bed. Air con. The pool was a treat. The lobby is huuuuuge, and ideal for a rest day, some remote working or trip planning. A do-it-yourself laundry room was absolutely perfect for a rest day before flying to Borneo. 20 min drive to the airport. Pretty ideal really as an airport hotel layover. Very easy to chill here for the day.

The location isn’t great. It’s right the middle of what feels like an industrial estate, with very little to do within walking distance of the hotel. The bottle of drinking water provided, whilst appreciated, was unfortunately room temperature and tasted a bit funny. We stuck to our own. There are no toiletries provided, the first place we had that didn’t offer this. Finally, the internet was pretty awful. I hope we don’t sound entitled (I consider myself a backpackers) but for such a fancy hotel, these things were quite surprising.

Absolutely nothing.

Upon arrival the lobby smelled of dirty sewage water from the bathrooms behind the receptionist kiosk. I was however, still optimistic of our stay for the night as we were just passing through. Upon entering our first room we got the strong waft of heavy cleaning chemicals to cover the sent of mold in the bathroom, near overwhelming. The walls were decorated in mystery stains literally everywhere. Cobwebs lined every wall and part of the ceiling, even above the bed loft. We found there was an ant colony in the corner under the stairs with the little ones crawling up to the bedroom. Under the bed we’re piles of crumbs, dust, hair and trash in the form of water bottles and used tissues. We contacted the front desk and they sent two employees up with one bottle of ant spray …. to clean the whole room. We opted for a room change in which we were brought down the hall. To our surprise the room was the exact same as the last. The employees who transferred us also left us with the hotel master key that allows entry to any room and corridor and came back almost an hour later when they realized they gave us the incorrect room key. We went downstairs for food as we read about the dinning options and there’s only two small kiosk sized kitchens with limited choices at both. Come bed time the bed was hard as cement and the bed springs made constant ruckus. It should also be noted that both rooms had comforters covered in unknown stains and had an odd smell to them. We could hear everyone in the rooms on both sides of us and above all the way until 1am. I got heat rash in the middle of the night as the circulation of the loft is near non existent. After reading past comments it’s apparent the property doesn’t really care about rectifying the problems and still carries on as before. Avoid this location at all cost as it’s not worth the stay.
