My Mum and I stayed at Sutherlands for the Great North Run and we were very impressed. Carl and the team were so friendly, they couldn't do enough for us. We had dinner at Sutherlands and they put the Women's rugby world cup on for us. The room was spacious, the bath was a highlight! Comfy beds and the room had all the amenities you could need. I'll be sure to rebook with Sutherlands next time I do the Great North Run- thank you!

Looks a little run down from the outside & downstairs but the rooms were clean, really well kept and spacious. Carl went above and beyond, he was really helpful - thank you! Recommend!

Downstairs loos were very different in comparison to the rooms (in respect of cleanliness), definitely need attention, but minor to our trip as we used the ones in our rooms.

Karaoke dans le bar jusque 23h: nous avions l'impression que le DJ était dans notre chambre. Fenêtre cassée. La télé ne fonctionnait pas.

The room was huge and lots of storage. We only had a quick overnight stay and didn't have chance to make the most of it. All the facilities you'd expect in the room and more. Kettle, fridge, microwave, toaster. Large comfy bed and very clean.

The blinds didn't shut out the light so we woke very early. Also we arrived quite late (but had informed the hotel) and there was no one around to check us in but the bar staff and locals were very friendly and helpful. There was a function/party going on which was entertaining but not great if you wanted a quiet drink. Didn't bother us.
