Nobody at reception. No access to the phone number as it was switched off. No way to book in and nobody to be seen. So I had to book into another hotel.

Vey clean and comfortable room

Bar was too noisy but then I’m an old fogey!

The room was lovely and clean and very very comfortable. It exceeded my expectations. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Facilities were great. Breakfast was great value for money and the best full English I've had.

Nothing that I didn't like

Friendly and helpful staff on arrival and during the evening. The evening meal not particularly large menu choice but the dishes we chose were very good. Pleasant enough room, spacious and comfortable bed. Plenty of tea, coffee etc. in the room.

There was no one available to speak to when we checked out apart from a cleaner who told us to leave the key on the desk. We stayed in room 9 - a bit confused as to why there was an unplugged upright freezer in the room! The TV remote batteries missing - quickly supplied by staff when informed - but still did not work well as it failed to operate volume at all or the standby at the end of the day (maybe down to the replacement batteries?). Biggest issue was the bathroom which has black staining on the ceiling above the bath - possible mould or where mould has once been? Also the self at the bottom of the mirror fixture above the sink is missing - this was very deceptive as at first glance it looked like a glass shelf there, my husband removed his glasses and tried putting them on there but they just fell straight onto the floor.

Well located just off the main road into Newcastle, the hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were great and very helpful and I couldn’t have been happier with my stay there.

The property itself was ok, bar downstairs was ok and reasonable.

Staff were not very helpful, despite trying to get their attentions, someone banging on the door outside to gain access at 1:30 this morning, lasting over half an hour. Came down to complain in the morning, no staff to talk to or even check out with. Crumbs in the bed 🥲. Had high hopes based on the reviews but not a good experience at all.

Clean rooms beautiful comfortable bed.

No breakfasts, they had no chef no cook hot food. When we got up from our sleep no one was there to even offer a tea or coffee before we left. We left the key unattended.
