Ship and Castle Hotel

Staff very friendly and helpful. Good location. Beautiful vista.

It’s very tired and in need of a makeover. Also it’s “advertised” on Booking as being 4km from Falmouth. That’s true if you can swim or row but by road it’s about 45km. Ok, mea culpa, I could have looked at a map but I’m not used to having to make sure there isn’t an estuary between me and the hotel before booking.

I likes the fact that it had a room available when my daughter and I stumbled in with our stinking rucksacks and blistered feet. We had missed the ferry and could not face walking back on ouselves

The room smelt of feet. (That may have been us though)

No dinner service as no staff , our room balcony outside door wouldn’t lock so not secure told reception not sorted Carpet in room not very clean

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. We booked for 2 night and checked out after the first night. The room we were given was nothing like the one shown. The room was dirty, beds horrible and overall smell of damp. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at.

Excellent location overlooking the estuary

Restaurant was closed on Sat and Sun.

Did not make clear that they had no car park! Room had only bare essentials and was not particularly clean,
