Hotel Casa Barrocco Oaxaca

Lovely colonial building with quiet courtyard; one of the limited heritage properties I could find with air-conditioning inside the room. Fantastic location with many high quality restaurants and cafes within a block or two. Great shopping and art outlets are also within a short distance. A cafe in the front of the hotel which I didn't try, however didn't seem to be busy often.

Perhaps a small fridge in the room to keep some drinking water cool. The bed was a bit firm, could be fixed with a foam mattress topper but not a huge issue.

Everything - great location in Oaxaca city centre, iconic hacienda-style hotel, friendly staff that helped us organize our transfers, value for money price. Couldn't have picked a better hotel for our Oaxaca trip.

the tv in the first room we stayed at the first night didn’t work. then, the second night in a different room we stayed in, the AC was flowing in the entire room so it was really hot and my baby and i were extremely hot and sweaty and it made it uncomfortable

Friendly welcome, good location

The room had no windows and the lighting was terrible. The barely covered lightbulbs on the wall were harsh and too bright. There were no bedside lamps and no coffee making facility. The stay was overall very disappointing.

Location was perfect - walking distance to everything and amazing cafes across the road. Friendly and helpful staff, clean room and facilities and liked the old-style, traditional building. Good A/C and room was comfortable.

The offering is pretty basic. Bathroom is old and water flooded the space after every shower, storage facilities were old and hard to use. Could do with an update.
