Kings Head Hotel

Decided against breakfast but had a lunch and it was lovely. Staff very nice

The hotel was perfect for us. It was near to thursford, which is why we chose it.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Couldn’t ask for more.

Comfy beds, clean, good breakfast

We had dinner the first night, well cooked, tasty , well presented with great service and staff. The breakfasts on two mornings we were there were as one would expect, good value too. The Wi-Fi was strong , so good reception. Would return again and recommend to all.

As a hotel it would have been nice to be able to get a nightcap when we returned from Thursford at just before 11pm, the bar seemed to be already shut. It would have been appreciated if the radiators in the room were on before we arrived without having to ask, but a minor indiscretion which didn’t deflect the overall impression

A very charming old pub / hotel in a rural setting. Very helpful staff, lovely bar and dining area with nice atmosphere. Good shower and bathroom

Food service finished early without notice so had to look for somewhere to eat. Check in staff left reception at 3pm to serve in tve bar. They new we were in the bar waiting to check in...then left us waiting. No heating on in the room..when I asked it needed a boost. No apology or heads up that it was done and we needed to be sure to warm the room before we left for food. Chair in front of murror/dressing table was uncomfortable, no sponge. Just sitting on wood and all the material was peeling off. Toilet didn't flush. No apology just a grin when we told them.
