The Hind Hotel

Staff were very friendly and helpful. I had an issue with my room and the lady on reception was very kind and sorted it for me.

The rooms smell of smoke and are just a bit dingy. I did complain about this and the staff were friendly and moved me to a different room which I’m grateful for even though it still stank it wasn’t as nearly as bad as the first one! It’s cheap so you get what you pay for but bed was really uncomfortable and there was a banging sound that went on during the night, sounded like old pipes maybe. Half the tv channels didn’t work and the breakfast wasn’t great if you didn’t want anything that wasn’t cooked. I didn’t have any cooked food there so can’t comment on that but the options were a bit limited for cereal and no fruit etc.

I lived in Wellingborough for 20 yrs. Got a lot of friends. So I always book The Hind as it's central to all in town centre. I've known the manager Ryan & some staff for a number of year's too.

Beautiful 17th century building in the middle of Wellingborough town centre. Free parking round the back. Spacious room. And it had en suite. The hotel has a pool table, a bar and a cafe. It even had all the Christmas decorations up when we visited. Breakfast was tasty too. Last but not least, the bed was extremely comfortable, one of the best!

Some of the paintwork is looking a bit tired, and some skirting board is worn also. The floorboards are extremely creaky so we were woken up by other guests incidentally. That said, and awful lot of effort had been put into this massive building so ik sure it would take a while to get all the work done to a high finish. However, these minor issues are easily forgivable due to the value for money and service you get.
