Tikul Hotel Boutique

Tikul Hotel is a lovely modern hotel. We had the ocean view room with an exceptional view. The rooms are lovely and cosy, and the bed is super comfortable. The location is almost ocean front and it is super quiet. The city is around a 10min walk along the beach. Gracias Tikul Hotel

The hotel, despite small and without common spaces, is truly beautiful.

The staff, excluded the cleaning lady, has neither been helpful nor flexible.

We liked that the rooms were clean, comfy and that the hotel is close to the beach!

in a 3 nights stay they have never changed the towels. in front of the hotel they are building a new hotel so you will have an open work site all day long.

amazing boutique hotel, slightly out of town (but walkable) and in a lovely quiet area near the nicest beaches on the island. lovely helpful staff!

The room was gorgeous and very stylish with lovely big windows. The bed was super comfy and the little couch was a nice touch. It felt very spacious and airy with high ceilings too. The shower was great with good pressure and plenty of towels provided. It is a bit further out from the main square but there are always taxis passing by if you don't want to walk the 20/25 mins and there are a few places to eat within walking distance. It's close to a lovely, slightly quieter beach. I liked being slightly out of the main area as it felt peaceful. The area felt really safe too. The staff were really helpful with booking a taxi when I was leaving, and getting in touch ahead of my stay to see if I needed help getting to Holbox.

There wasn't much storage - the hanging wasn't full length and there was no drawer space or bedside tables. Also nowhere to fill up your own water bottles with drinking water, although there was a bottle in the room that was refilled daily. The stairs are a bit tricky with cases but fine otherwise. Also worth noting that the shower is open into the room which might not work for some people but was fine for me. These are just small niggles and didn't detract from the overall stay. The only thing that was a bit concerning was coming back from a morning out to find my room door wide open - it obviously hadn't been locked properly after housekeeping. It was just a mistake and everything was fine in my room but just wasn't ideal especially when travelling alone.
