So beautiful

No elevator to our 2nd floor room

There was so much jasmine everywhere, including a jasmine arch leading into a ceremony area. It perfumes the air in a lovely way. The pool and hot tub area are fantastic. The room was perfectly comfortable with a nice balcony overlooking said jasmine arch. Very good value proposition.

This is a nit, but maybe the TV should allow streaming from guests’ devices, like Chromecast. There also aren’t useable outlets by the bed.

We stayed at this hotel twice for one night each in the last two weeks while our house in LA was being fumigated. We selected this hotel because it is half the price of the nearby Four Seasons, and it has ground floor rooms which we need for our 13 year old golden retriever. The grounds are lovely/ lots of grassy areas and a beautiful lake. There are a couple of good restaurants and a spa which I understand is very nice. The rooms themselves are dated - done in a heavy Tuscan style— but livable- and clean, with a cottage feel- back porch areas looking out to well kept grassy lawns and tropical landscaping. Convenient parking just outside the door- at each building -motel style- but there was no valet help loading or unloading bags. We appreciated Matt’s offer to help us load up when he came by to check whether we were extending our stay. A couple of tips—do not take a room overlooking a parking lot- this was our second room. It was small and claustrophobic and the parking lot view made it feel like a cheap motel. There was not a single snack in the room or anything to eat at all. Bottles of Fuji water are available -/$4.00 for the small bottle$8.00 for the large. No other bottled water or even a cracker to eat. The entrance to the room was set in a long covered hallway- and unfortunately there were guests yelling and making a commotion at 1:00 am and again at 3:00 am. I don’t know if this happens regularly- but the hallway exacerbated and echoed the yelling in the middle of the night. Again- it felt like a cheap motel. Room service was subpar— they got the order wrong and was ridiculously expensive. I ordered 2 soft boiled eggs, avocado toast and a pot of coffee. The guy taking the order sent 2 sides of hard boiled eggs—. 4 eggs total. The whole thing was $77:00. The feel of the hotel is that of an upscale motel in a lovely setting. However, the room makes the difference here— ask for one that has a separate shower and bath and that overlooks grassy areas and landscaping or overlooking the lake. Be prepared to load and unload your own luggage- and don’t order room service. And bring your own water and snacks.

What a disappointment. The grounds are gorgeous, the staff wonderful. The room we had was an Executive King. The room was nice, but dated. TV was old, no streaming! So relaxing in room watching TV was a bore. Please get a Smart TV apps so we can enjoy our shows! The worst was the bathroom. The toilet was so low I was actually doing a squat to sit on it! Sink was old, weak water, no hot water, the cabinet was so bloody old too. And 1 sink! Shower, yikes, who installs a seat right under the shower spray? And you need to turn on there which gets you instantly wet! The floor was so bad & old I wore flip flops as didn't feel comfy being in bare feet. So it wasn't a fully relaxing time there. Happy we didn't stay longer than 2 days. What a shame as it's a pretty place, but old and dated. The balcony also was very dirty and the buildings. Will I be back? No. I rather pay 200bucks more and stay at the Four Seasons across the way.

Beautiful with lots of pretty gardens and waterways. Good restaurants. Friendly staff.

My room had a leaking toilet, several mosquitos, and wasn’t cleaned 100% from the previous guests. I found used contact lenses on the table. The room service is exceptionally expensive.
