Westlake Village Inn

So beautiful!!

Very comfortable room with sheets of excellent quality.We enjoyed two separate short stays in two different rooms both of high quality.The help yourself tea,coffee and water close to to reception was really appreciated.I felt that the pic did not do the Hotel justice.The grounds were exquisite and really well looked after.Food choices at Stonehaus for all meals were broad and excellent.The wine tasting was brilliant and we tasted some excellent Californians wines.

would have liked some water in my room without being charged for it.

Atmosphere

Our room wasn’t clean. Our bed was very uncomfortable and our tv was broken. Our ac wasn’t working. Everything was bad

It was pet friendly, which is fine but not when you are being woken up by a barking dog and then also in the early evening, not acceptable. Also plastic cutlery at the Stone Hus restaurant was not great.

I'm so glad I found this place -- and I was impressed by the place! This area just outside LA is so upscale, it's amazing to me that your choices of hotels are either "low service" highway hotels like Courtyard or the Four Seasons! I'm completely serious! I needed to stay here for 2 weeks, could NOT affort $1000 night at the Four Seasons, but the highway hotels just aren't my jam. This place served as my home away from home and I initally didn't want to come here AT ALL given the reviews I read! Well, reader -- let me tell you, I'm picky. I stayed here for 5 days -- had to move out because they were full -- and then came back for 4 more! My rooms were a little dated, but the beds and sheets were comfortable. Nice decks w chairs. Quiet. Loved the young people at the front desk (Hailey, Cade). Loved the fitness center. Loved the pool -- although some days -- weekends -- it's packed! Great food at the pool. Cold beer. Clean hot tub. Plenty of towels and comfortable chairs! Walked each day to get my coffee all the way to the other end of the resort to Stonehaus -- which doubles as a great pizza/casual restaurant at night. Again -- very popular. Did have a drink one night in one of their more upscale restaurants-- Louie's. It was ok. A little strange that the hostess said we could only sit at the bar, when many tables remained open the entire time we were there. That rubbed me the wrong way -- but this is minor. This place is huge and well-maintained. You're so close to many many upscale restaurants and shopping. This place is GREAT! I'll be back.

The atmosphere at Westlake Village Inn is wonderful. There’s great access to good restaurants with delicious food. The hotel room left a bit to be desired. For example, there is not very much room for your suitcases and there is very little closet space, and no drawers to unpack your bags. We had a spa room and the barn doors that open into the bathroom are very hard to operate and awkwardly placed. The steam shower was one reason we chose this room and it did not work at all. The deep tub was nice but sits awkwardly in the room. They are not generous with amenities like lotions and soaps, etc., The room service was fair. The coffee that was delivered was hot and very good but expensive. They automatically add a 20% gratuity and a room charge fee. The room service menus says you get more cups of coffee than you really get. We did not use the gym, pool or spa, but it looked very nice.
