"Very nice hotel for a quick getaway"

10.0

We enjoyed out short stay at the hotel. The Stonehuas was very good and nice and relaxing once we found a quiet corner. The room was clean and comfortable. We had plenty of hot water for the in-room Jacuzzi tub. The desert we got togo from the Stonehaus was excellent. Minor criticism is the couch is poorly placed to see the TV. Advice —— make sure you like the pillow style. Although the pillows were high quality and not worn out we would have appreciated ones with more support. We did not discover this until late and decided not to call the front desk to see if they had any other options. We would happily stay again.

"Gorgeous hotel just some minor flaws with my stay"

8.0

Beautiful location it literally felt like a resort

My first rooms remote didn’t work and then the ac was causing water to drop from the vents. Floors were soaked. Thankfully the front desk let us change rooms and promoted us to a nicer room

"Perfect place to escape to feel like you're nowhere near Los Angeles!"

10.0

My husband and I came here for a staycation to get away from reality for a couple of days and it was everything we hoped for and more! The rooms were beautiful and so quiet! The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was amazing as well. We were able to spend the day that we checked out at the pool. Bree at the pool was amazing. She was always there to help us and went out of her way. Can't wait to go back here again!

"Very nice stay in a great neighborhood."

8.0

Check in was good and easy. Parking is ok and free, however if you arrive during one of the many events they host on the weekend, there is not enough parking for the guests. Our room was spacious and well kept. The grounds and pool are well taken care of too. We ate at two of the restaurants and I will say the service was awful at both, so we ate off property after our second night. They were not busy at all, just bad management and the staff was just standing around talking and not paying attention to the tables. We would stay here again, but wouldn’t eat here again. We were also surprised they don’t even offer to help with your bags. Some of these rooms have stairs, so that maybe a challenge for someone.

"Not Four Stars"

2.0

We spent three days at this resort, checking out May 30th. Thursday our car ran perfectly; Friday morning the electrical system was haywire. We went to the dealership, who informed us that a rat had eaten the wiring ($2800). We’d only parked in the Westlake Village Inn lot. On Sunday I drove back to the inn, to quietly alert them that they had a rodent problem. They said they’d never heard of one. Okay. So then I asked to update my survey to fully inform the inn of the problem, and I asked twice to have a new survey emailed to me. It never came. I was told a manager was going to call me Sunday afternoon. Never happened. The lack of caring and follow through bothers me. I also ran into the staff indifference when I lifted up the duvet at the bottom of the bed, and saw blood stains spread over an inch or so. Clearly whoever made the bed put the stained sheet on. Of course it creeped me out. I called the desk to request fresh sheets and was met with complete disinterest. I was going to overlook her attitude, but decided to say something, because blood on the sheet is something to comment on. Maybe this doesn’t paint a strong enough picture, but I expect stain-free sheets, and expected the staff to show concern when we didn’t get them. We had another couple of other lack-of-caring issues, but by themselves they didn’t dampen the fun we were having. The rodent issue took things over the top, however. And the lack of follow through breaks any trust I still had. Two more things to mention: it takes 2+ minutes of running water to get warm water (room 122). It bothers me to have water wasted. Also, there is no elevator to get us to our second floor room, so a helper had to assist us with our luggage. When it was checkout time, I called the front desk for porter help. My four calls went unanswered. The only way I got in touch with them was to call from an outside line — my cellphone. I then went down to the front desk in person, and there wasn’t anyone else there except for the two desk staff. Puzzling. Although we’ve stayed there a half dozen times over the years, I can no longer recommend it. It really makes me sad. People urge you to find a win/win, but there wasn’t any here.
