Boat Country Inn and Restaurant

The meal my partner and I received at this hotel was terrible,the cost was as bad as the meal...after complaining to the waiting staff,no one came and asked what was wrong with the meal,so if your charging high prices in your restaurant, then I would expect the same service....would never return to the hotel for a meal...

The water in the shower was a little cold.

Ate here twice at the weekend. Yes prices are not cheap, but you have to remember that this is the only place to eat for miles, it’s very good quality food and the staff deserve a decent wage. On the sat eve all dishes were excellent, it’s clear they have a chef rather than just a cook on the kitchen. The pork belly was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Others around the table also thought the steak pie, chicken main and scampi were also great. On Sunday, the roast beef was the best I’d had in a while. Some of our table had burgers which were all great. Service was also excellent. We saw the same staff both days so they are clearly working long hours. We will be back soon.

The staff were very welcoming to both us and our dog. They couldn’t do enough for us to make our stay perfect.

The lamb shank in the restaurant was absolutely amazing!! Lovely hotel in a lovely location

There were no lifts, and being on the second floor, it was a real challenge getting my luggage up and down the steep, tight stairs.

Good location to visit the Cairngorms National Park

Quite expensive for the quality. The restaurant is charging too much for average food. We had far better food for much cheaper in Scotland.
