Well located and comfortable.

Very expensive. Small and not charming room and environment.

Rooms are dated but comfortable, the deck is a nice place to sit and the grounds are well maintained. Central location with many restaurants within easy walking distance. Breakfasts were good.

It promises more than it delivers. It has a very strange layout, some rooms better than others and balconies are unusable as they’re no more than a box. Service is hit and miss at best, food average. I would think there are better places to stay in Monteverde in this budget range.

Nice breakfast. Staff member Lilly is lovely, as is the masseur.

Room terrible: dark and the two windows both faced onto a wall; room behind kitchen so noise from staff arriving early in the morning whilst they were chattering loudly; chef and staff had little to no idea what gluten free meant; slow staff service for all meals; reception staff (except for Lilly) a bit surly and didn’t know how to compute a room card; hotel campus a bit brown all over and a little dated; zero snacks on offer/possible with afternoon tea/coffee; vague sewerage smells noticeable whilst sitting outside on the deck (at any hour).

Pool (with swim-up bar!) and hot tub onsite, and a very lovely garden to walk the grounds. Location is great— Walkable to downtown Santa Elena and restaurants and shopping, although the onsite restaurant was very good. Very close to all of the main Monteverde sights and the staff is helpful and can call taxis if you don’t have a rental car. Very nice shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lotion provided.

The swimming pool isn’t heated so it was a little chilly! Charging to the room was a bit confusing so make sure to carry some form of payment with you if you go to the restaurant or bar.

Some rooms great, some terrible near road and looking at roof. Trail was nice. Reception staff super kind and helpful.

Pool area very dirty and management weird about loud kids in pool. Stressed out bartender trying to manage rowdy kids ruined the vibe at the pool. Hot tub overcrowded and stinky.

Pool was excellent. Staff were great and very friendly. They really made us feel welcome.Food was good and the service was excellent. We needed a refuge after a long day of travel and this was it!
