Hotel & Spa Poco a Poco - Costa Rica

We wish we had more time to spend in Monteverde at Poco a Poco, as the facilities were awesome! We were a little worried that the 'no ac' would be an issue for us as we were there on some warmer than usual days, however, the windows with the cross breeze and the lower night temps made for an excellent night of sleeping on very comfortable beds. We took advantage of the hot tub & pool (ask for the Guaro sour at the pool bar from Pedro - you won't be disappointed), and the kids loved the roasting marshmallows at the firepit, where they made new friends. Dinner at the hotel was good (make a reservation as outside groups come to dine also). The included breakfast was amazing and had a large selection of choices. We had a vehicle, so can't speak to ease of getting to surrounding areas. It was an awesome stay.

The property was stunning for a city property, the trail was beautiful, and the pool area was amazing.

nice looking location with a trees an the garden and the fireplace. good location: you can walk to the town and close to supermarket. has a pool is clean the beds are good. warm water

very strict pool rules makes it almost impossible for children to use. yakuzzi was not warm and often not working. one half day no water in the hotel. not very friendly loud: street, restaurant from the erliest guest eating breakfast at 6:30 till the last guests in the night, footsteps.

Very modern and well kept property. Well built in a smaller space.

Coordinating services is a pain. Do ton expect to get a spa appointment or any such thing without making multiple calls
