The lodge at Carlton tavern free parking

Very good value for money!! Free parking.

Good location + free parking, on bus route for access to York (cheaper to take the bus than park in the town), clean and safe, good facilities, quiet (even some birds in the evening). It's reasonably basic which is good to know, but not an issue for me. Very good value for money.

There was a constant fan noise from the bathroom which wasn't a big deal, but good to know if things like that annoy you. I also had one of the downstairs rooms which means anyone could technically peek through the windows, but there are also blinds so no real issue, but again, good to know.

It was good value for what we paid.

I didn’t realise how far from York centre it was. You have to either drive or take public transport ideally wanted walking distance. Was disappointed that food stopped at 1930 every night. We arrived at about 2000 and couldn’t get any dinner.
