Due to its rural location access to the property is a gravel mountain access track, although it has been resurfaced,it is subject to weather erosion so please drive slowly Low sports cars may struggle, please contact us for advice. Please note that pets are not allowed at Butt Lodge. Please note that we recommend taking out travel insurance to cover the cost of cancellations caused by disruptions to the ferry services or other unforeseen circumstances. "A very pleasant stay"

Butt Lodge is in a secluded part of Lochranza with lots of trees and land popular with red squirrels and deer which were exciting to see. Our hosts (who are soon to retire) were friendly and informative about the area. Our room had a very comfortable bed (which enabled us to sleep very well) and was equipped with a good TV. The food on offer was very good and we enjoyed our cooked breakfast and the evening meal we signed up for. Overall we were very pleased we chose Butt Lodge for our two night stay on Arran.

Our room was rather cold - thankfully we had a heated towel rail in the bathroom.

Butt Lodge was set a a beautiful glen. Lovely setting with very welcoming hosts. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Nothing was too much trouble.

The fantastic scenery, the evening meal was superb, breakfast was great and we loved the resident cat 😺

We arrived without a car and in hindsight we should have had one as it restricts moving around the island as buses are there but not always running to an amenable timetable

"Wonderful, peaceful stay at Butt Lodge with fantastic hosts"

We had a fantastic stay at Butt Lodge. Cath and Mac were fantastic hosts who were always on hand if we needed anything. The room was very clean and comfortable and the bathroom was very modern with lovely Arran Aromatic toiletries. Breakfast was great and we were made to feel very welcome. The surrounding to the property were just breathtaking and so peaceful.
