Beautiful old lodge house located at the foot of hill looking across a valley and golf course. Cath and Mack were amazing hosts and the dinner was excellent - recommend including it in your reservation.

We enjoyed the location tucked away behind the golf course with scenic views. The building was full of character having been a Victorian shooting Lodge and had been upgraded to include quality en-suites, WiFi, good heating and lovely Scottish decor. The breakfasts were wonderful, beautifully presented and with local ingredients .. served freshly cooked, hot and promptly. Especially loved the homemade granola!. We also dined in one evening .. the menu offered was varied and delicious. The owner is a skilled chef and we very much enjoyed our meal. Although not a licensed hotel, they did allow BYOB and provided glasses and chilling. We were well looked after by Beth and her husband and we loved the resident cats, welcomed by the most lovely affectionate Ginger. We loved the star filled sky at night, with no light pollution nearby and as we looked up, we took in the incredible noise of the nearby rutting deer stags! Unique to Lochranza!

I stayed with my adult daughter and our little dog and felt the small twin room was somewhat cramped with belongings for 3 of us. It is a Lodge and we understand that’s the nature of the accommodation but in hindsight we’d have enjoyed a bigger room so we could have moved about more easily.
