Due to its rural location access to the property is a gravel mountain access track, although it has been resurfaced,it is subject to weather erosion so please drive slowly Low sports cars may struggle, please contact us for advice. Please note that pets are not allowed at Butt Lodge. Please note that we recommend taking out travel insurance to cover the cost of cancellations caused by disruptions to the ferry services or other unforeseen circumstances. Mac, the host is an excellent chef. The meals were expertly prepared to order with a lot of choice!

There was nothing that fell below standards. I would say that the access road to Butt Lodge is a mountain access track, so it’s pretty bumpy. This added to our adventure, but someone who’s a little more precious about their car should take extra care. Cath and Mac sent prior notice of this anyway.
