Due to its rural location access to the property is a gravel mountain access track, although it has been resurfaced,it is subject to weather erosion so please drive slowly Low sports cars may struggle, please contact us for advice. Please note that pets are not allowed at Butt Lodge. Please note that we recommend taking out travel insurance to cover the cost of cancellations caused by disruptions to the ferry services or other unforeseen circumstances. What's not to like. Cath and Mac excellent hosts. Dinner and breakfast was exceptional. Room perfect. Good size bed, spotlessly clean room and bathroom.

The drive up the track was interesting 😂

Fantastic place in a gorgeous location. Cath is very welcoming and made us feel right at home. Communication was great ahead of our stay and the food was amazing. You couldn't ask for a prettier location nestled between the mountains amidst the roaming deer. Highly recommend!

"A beautiful country retreat"

What a pleasant stay. The hosts cooked a brilliant breakfast and the hotel was large and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again. It is very close to the ferry to the Kintyre Peninsula so if you are heading in that direction, it's worth staying here. There is also a nice restaurant nearby called the Country Inn (or something like that), which had a great village feel.

Cath and Mac were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Accommodation was spotless and the food was amazing. Only one night but wish we could have more. Great night's sleep.

Wonderful location, lovely comfortable clean rooms. Great shower and products provided were of high quality. Dinner was tasty and plentiful. Amazing friendly owners Cath and Mac. Only thing I can say is this place is wonderful!!
